The Guidance Department of
Towson Catholic is a valuable resource for students and parents.
The school offers students a wide range of counseling options including:
short-term personal counseling, crisis response and intervention, college planning and application,
course selection, and career exploration. The guidance
office maintains listings of current scholarship
information, college Open House dates, college fairs, summer programs, and a myriad of
college and post high school information.
Students
and parents are encouraged to set up an appointment to discuss post high
school graduation plans. This is typically done in the spring of
the junior year and perhaps again in the fall of senior year. Some
of the print resources in the guidance office include: Peterson's Guide to 2- and 4-Year
Colleges, Index of College Majors, Occupational Outlook Book, and a wide
variety of college
catalogs videos. These resources provide information
on individual colleges and universities, occupations, available
financial aid, and application procedures. The office also
maintains books and videos on a number of adolescent health and
development issues. |
