Getting the Bells ready |
The Bell Tower with its three
majestic bells, stands aloft as a gift of the parishioners to commemorate the
Centennial of the parish. In the words of then-pastor Monsignor John U. Lyness,
"It would be a fitting way to memorialize our forbears in the Faith in Towson; we see
it as a constant reminder to succeeding generations of all that has gone before and to
their faith."
The bells ring out the Angelus thrice daily and before all the weekend
Masses, weddings, and special occasions. They toll for the funeral Masses.

Raising the Bells |
The Bell Tower was dedicated and blessed by Monsignor Edward J. Lynch on March
25, 1984, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.
