- Parents Marriage |
| Parents seeking to have their child baptized should be married in the Catholic Church or with the permission of the Catholic Church. Although children are not denied the Sacrament of Baptism if their parents have not been married in the Church, it is good for parents who are promising to raise their children in the practice of the faith to be able to participate fully in the sacramental life of the Church. Those who marry outside of the Church without the permission of the Church are not supposed to receive Holy Communion until their marriage is recognized by the Church. Please contact a
parish priest or deacon to examine how you can have your marriage recognized by the Catholic Church. |
