Achievement Codes A grade is given for the subject area in Grades 3-8, and the teacher uses the following codes to indicate the achievement for your child in each of the skill areas for each subject. P – Demonstrates proficiency · Demonstrates mastery of skills taught · Works well independently / self-motivated · Has strong grasp of grade level curriculum G – Very Good Progress · Consistently demonstrates proficiency of skill · Needs minimal or occasional teacher intervention S – Satisfactory · Works on grade level · May need occasional remediation or reinforcement · Needs some teacher intervention I – Needs Improvement · Works below grade level · Seldom demonstrates grasp of skills · Consistent need for teacher intervention, reinforcement and remediation N – Not Yet Demonstrating · Does not demonstrate the skills that were taught
