My real name is Marialena Potthast Walsh.     The kids call me "Mrs. Walsh" and my friends call me "Mia".  I graduated from Immaculate Conception School in 1980.    Here is a picture of me in my Immaculate uniform from 2nd grade in the back of the church.

From ICS, I then graduated from Notre
Dame Preparatory school in 1984.

After NDP, I graduated with a
Bachelor's degree in Business
Administration from
St. Michael's College in Burlington,
Vermont in 1988.   I also studied
International Business at Franklin
College in Lugano,
Switzerland.

I have been married to my husband,
Brian, since 1993 and have been together
with him since 1987, when we met in
college in Vermont.     Long winters.....

I have always had a great interest
in technology.    I worked for 9 years
as the Business Technology director
for the international law firm now
called DLA Piper Rudnick Grey Cary
until 2001.     I left Piper to stay at home
with my two daughters, born in 1999
and 2001.

I have been an active member of the Junior League of Baltimore for over 14 years and have often served on its Board of Directors.   I am a Board member of Baltimore Outreach Services, a homeless shelter for women and their children in Federal Hill.    I volunteer between 300 - 800 hours annually in the Baltimore community.

Since both of my daughters now attend Immaculate Conception School full time, I was proud to return to the work force and my alma mater and share my knowledge and skills in technology with your children.
